Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 - Leaked

Photo: It's the perfect playground for Double XP Launch Weekend. Pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 now and come back tomorrow for the grand tour of Nuketown 2025: http://bit.ly/Vt38DKAs you guys know by now, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be released on the 13th of November, although word on the street is that the street date has already been broken thanks to one particular retailer in Slovakia, Bazo.sk (via CVG). The product listing has since been deleted but thanks to photos that have been grabbed before it was taken down, it certainly looks the case. As you can see in the image above, what we are looking at is the box art for the Hardened Edition of the game. However as the folks at VG247 have noted, since there are no photos of the actual disc, there is a chance that these boxes are merely promotional materials used to display on shelves for customers to look at,  rather than the actual game itself, although the deleting of the listing is rather suspicious. In any case at the very least we have a glimpse at how the Hardened Edition will look like. Either way we only have a couple of weeks to go before the official release, so stay tuned for more updates!

YouTube App Removed from iOS 6

http://www.iphoneheat.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/youtube.jpgApple has pushed iOS 6 beta 4 to developers which is expected to be pushed to masses sometimes in September. Along with other improvements and stability changes, this latest iOS 6 beta brings one big notable change: Apple has removed the native YouTube app from iOS 6 beta 4, reports 9to5mac…

Release of Apple’s own 3D Maps app replacing Google Maps and now the removal of YouTube app from iOS has led some to believe that relationships between the two giants are souring. As per Apple’s official statement, this application omission is due to an expired licensing agreement between Apple and Google. Google is said to be working on a new standalone app for iOS which will be available in the app store.

Windows 8: Will Companies trust Microsoft

Windows 8 Criticism Microsoft Responds

Microsoft (MSFT) is finally stepping up to address the loud complaints from both OEMs and gaming companies about the impact Windows 8 will have on their businesses. A Microsoft spokesman has told VentureBeat that Windows 8 will have greater integration with its popular Xbox platform and will make gaming a more central part of the Windows experience than in previous editions.

“With Xbox on Windows 8, we created easy entry points into the types of entertainment that you’ll enjoy, including games,” he said. “The Games app prominently features your avatar, profile, friends and Gamerscore and allows you to explore your friends’ avatars.”

Of course, these reassurances aren’t likely to appease gaming CEOs such as Stardock’s Brad Wardell, who described Windows 8 as “schizophrenic,” “obnoxious,” and a “nightmare,” or Valve CEO Gabe Newell, who described Windows 8 as “a catastrophe for everyone in the PC space.”
